Google sheets are an online web browser spreadsheet that allows users to key in data and do analysis just like in Microsoft excel. Its advantage is that your data is automatically saved in google drive hence no risk of losing data even when the power goes off. Besides, it has more simplified formulas to do calculations and perform other activities. Furthermore, one can invite others to work on the spreadsheet with you. Also, it allows you to make changes to the file without having to destroy the original document. When you are done making changes, you can simply download it where sheets are going to convert it back to excel files, ready to be used by Microsoft excel once again.
It is very hard to find a computer literate person who has never used Excel or has no idea how excel operates or maybe has no idea about spreadsheets. However, there is always a beginner in every aspect of life and everything. Assuming you have data as shown below and you want to change the English value for Solange.
Place your cursor on the cell value to make a blue border as shown below.
Key in or type the value you need to change.
Click outside the cell or click ENTER.Google Sheets automatically saves your new value
It is important to note that you can also edit a Cell by clicking on the cell then typing the new data on the formula bar then you click ENTER. If you desire to delete data, whether in a single cell, a column or a row, you can simply select the row, cell or column then Click the Backspace button on the computer keyboard. The google sheets edit option also allows you to enjoy other advantages such as Copy-Paste, and Cut-Paste within the spreadsheets or even outside the google sheets.
